Iran Opens Persian Gulf NGL Plant

Iran has formally inaugurated Iranian Offshore Oil Company’s (IOOC) Siri NGL plant in the Persian Gulf on Thursday, Iranian media has reported. The plant will produce natural gas liquids (NGL) and when fully operational, would on average collect 100 to 104 million cubic feet per day (mcfpd) of dry gas.

Iran to build two GTL plants by 2014

Iran's oil and industry ministries have inked an agreement for building two GTL plants in next three years each with a capacity of 1000 barrels. Gas to liquids (GTL) is a refinery process to convert natural gas or other gaseous hydrocarbons into longer-chain hydrocarbons such as gasoline or diesel fuel.
